FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We are Private Credit Investigators. We assist individuals in restoring damaged credit by having credit bureaus
remove negative and derogatory information from your credit reports. Our service is the "longest surviving"
credit renewal center in the country. We have been in business since 1986. We were registered and bonded
in the State of Texas, and became proud members of the Better Business Bureau of Dallas, and the Greater Dallas Chamber
of Commerce in 1992. You may contact by phone, internet, and mail, we are able to service any client
world-wide who has a credit record that is maintained within the United States of America.
Primarily we take advantage
of several Consumer Credit Protection Laws. They include The Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Privacy Act, Fair Credit
Reporting Act, and Fair Debt Reporting Act. Congress passed these laws in the 1960's to help assure consumers the
right of privacy regarding how and what is reported by credit reporting agencies.
Yes, the government enacted
these laws for the purpose of protecting consumers against the intrusions of creditors, credit bureaus, and bill collectors.
Everything is done in accordance with these laws.
Get results. Many
of our clients realize that they can attempt this process themselves. Some have tried and become disillusioned by red
tape creditors and credit bureaus use to elude credit laws. The advantage we have is that we are familiar with these
laws, and the techniques that will make these laws work for you. We can cite specific areas in these laws that the average
consumer may be unaware of.
That depends on a person's needs. Our price is generally less than 50% of what
it will cost to actually pay off the debts. You can take our "Free On-Line Consultation" to decide for yourself.
Since the law restricts credit repair services from making the statement that "we guarantee removal of correct
information from your credit report," we offer to refund any money you have paid us if we do not clear these items.
Exact conditions of these terms are defined in your contract.
No,
our goal is to permanently remove the negative information from your credit report. Should it re-appear, we will redo
it at no additional cost, or refund your money as stipulated in the contract.
No, there is no legal obligation for creditors to remove the negative once a settlement
has been made. Their only obligation is to show that the account has been paid. It will still remain negative
on the report for 7 to 10 years from the date it is reported.
No, there
are only two ratings on a credit report, "negative" and "positive." A paid negative is a negative
regardless. All other ratings in your report will fall under these two headings. Any attempt to make you believe
otherwise is a lie. Any rating even if it appears positive, is considered to be completely negative if even one negative
notation is attached to the account.
Nationwide, there are thousands of bureaus.
The major three are Experian (formally TRW), Trans Union, and Equifax (also known as CSC and CBI). These are the three
we will automatically work to clear. Since many of the smaller bureaus actually depend on the databases of these three
to obtain their information, once you are cleared with these three, you should have no problem obtaining credit due to
negative information.
Yes, CREDITDEFENDERsm services clients world-wide. If your credit history is maintained
in the United States of America, we can assist you.
Yes.
At no time will information pertaining to a client be given to anyone outside of our service and it's assigns without
the expressed written permission of the client.
You will receive updated
credit reports directly from the credit bureaus stating the progress made on your reports. These updates will begin
coming to your mailing address about six to eight weeks from the time we received your signed contract. You will then
